Novowood is a superior quality MDF (medium density fibreboard) made from fine wood fibres bound together with resin adhesive using heat, pressure and the world’s most advanced technology in a continuous flat press. Novowood has two smooth hard surfaces making it perfect for painting, staining, grain printing and laminating. Novowood is completely solid from its surface to its core. So it can be drilled, routed and precision machined without splitting or chipping giving a faultless edge profile every time. Novowood also possesses the desired properties of high bending strength, internal bond and screw holding, in fact, it has all the advantages of both solid timber and wood based panels. |

| machining novowood |
| Novowood can be worked easily with all conventional woodworking machines. It saws cleanly, drills easily, shapes and routs exceptionally well without splitting or chipping. Novowood is equally suited for use with most hand tools. Novowood will take the most intricate edge profiling and surface routing and provides new opportunities for individuality in furniture and joinery design. |
| glueing |
| Choice of adhesive: Novowood can be joined with excellent results using most commercial brands of adhesives available to the furniture and joinery industries. The choice of a specific type of adhesive will be determined by the surface characteristics of other materials being bonded to Novowood. Generally all wood adhesives can be used on the product. |
